Reenacting and recreating the 1939 campaign soldier though is somewhat unique and a few things should be considered first prior to making your decision.
The first point to consider is that, since most popular battle reenactments are based around later battles, ex "The Battle of the Bulge", "Monte Cassino" etc, the opportunity to take your kit and uniform to the field for battle, will be quite a rare occurance as there are simply very few 1939-themed reenactments.
Bearing this in mind, this particular WW2 impression is geared more so to living history, static displays, and parades than to battles.
Another point that should be considered is that this impression may in some ways be considered an "advanced" impression, as finding the correct kit and gear is somewhat more tricky. While original and repro British, German and WW2 Soviet gear is still readily abundant for other Polish impressions, only a very few vendors are making 1939 Polish gear and the "hunt" is part of the fun and challenge.
That said, beginners are welcomed, just be aware that this impression will take more effort than most.
If you are reenacting Polish 1939, you are also taking part in a comparatively small, but enthusiastic area of reenacting. With most groups based in Poland, the US and UK, authenticity is held to a high standard and shortcuts and obviously incorrectly done aspects of your impression do not escape notice.
That said, it is not uncommon for groups to share info internationally to strive to better the overall impressions.
In conclusion,if you love a challenge, have an active interest in the 1939 campaign, as well as a keen interest in the inter-war years of Poland's history, then we invite you to explore this fascinating and challenging aspect of Polish reenacting.
You will not be disappointed!
